This first foldable Samsung Galaxy has been available for preorder and collected many reviews. However, there are complaints about the display malfunction, when it breaks when they use. The feedbacks of the early reviewers confused the production process and made it stagnant.
Samsung Electronics Co Ltd received reports which claimed display malfunctions in the foldable smartphone sample that is going to be officially unleashed. This new model of Samsung Galaxy will be on sale in the US from April 26. It still remains basic features of the traditional smartphones. However, the display can be folded like a book with the full size of a small tablet.
This smartphone was highly anticipated to attract users and create a new trend among hi-tech addicts. Yet, after one or two days releasing for some testers, malfunction was said to appear on its display. As the reply, Samsung promised to inspect the problem and find out the cause.
3 years ago, Galaxy Note 7 also coped with malfunction after launched. Its battery and design flaws lead to explosion. Samsung had to recall all their products and cancel their sales at that time. As the consequences, Samsung lost all of their profits in the third quarter of 2016.
With the new foldable smartphone, there is not only the malfunction in the display like being said before, but also the design is doubted to be less durable than Huawei’s products. Analysts say that in-folding adds more pressure on the screen, so it is more difficult to make than out-folding. Some reproters even say that their screen broke and unusable after being folded. Samsung needs to find out solutions soon if they do not want to cope with huge loss.
