Apple implicitly criticizes Facebook and Google for privacy problem
Not mentioning Facebook and Google directly, but Apple borrowed the privacy theme to attack opponents throughout their 25/3 event.
At the event that took place last night on March 25 in Cupertino, California (USA), Apple in turn introduced a series of services including Apple TV Plus TV, News + online newspaper, Arcade game or physical credit card. Apple Card. In the presentation on the stage, the American company constantly emphasized privacy and reiterated previous statements regarding the unauthorized sharing of user data.
For example, when announcing News + paid news service, Roger Rosner, vice president of application, said Apple would not know what users had read and would not allow advertisers to track them.
Like Apple Card, Apple thinks that they won’t know what users buy, where to use the card, because the data is encrypted and the company doesn’t collect it. Besides, partner Goldman Sachs also pledged to “never share or sell your data to third parties for marketing or advertising”. Arcade gaming service will not collect any information unless consent is given.
Although it does not give any comparisons to any brand, Apple is said to be its biggest target: Facebook and Google. The two tech giants have recently been strongly condemned by the business model regarding the collection of users’ personal information, then used for marketing purposes. Even, both were penalized in some countries for violating user privacy.
This is not the first time Apple has emphasized its commitment to privacy, and used it to attack opponents. At CES 2019, which took place in January in Las Vegas (USA), Google promoted Google Assistant aggressively by pasting the words “Hey Google” (the phrase used to activate virtual assistants) on buildings and cars . Apple then displayed a single ad next to the area opposite the CES exhibition, saying: “What happens on your iPhone will still be on your iPhone.”
Analysts from Goldman Sachs, Rod Hall and his team made a bold statement that Apple products and iPhones were left at least two years away from Samung Galaxy Fold. “Galaxy Fold is impossible for Apple. We can see it as a challenge for Apple in the context that the company has not yet approached the flexible OLED display market. Meanwhile, we believe that Samsung has been at least 2 years ahead of its competitors using this type of monitor, “said Rod Hall.
According to Bussiness Insider, the incident caused controversy. Will Apple be behind in the market of future phones? History has proved this to be completely true.
Has the 2010 history been repeated?
At the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, the phone seems to be the most talked about topic. The device is smaller than the iPhone XS, but when opened, it looks like a book. Users can easily fold the screen into (Samsung Galaxy Fold) or go out (Huawei Mate X).
Back in the past, in 2010, Samsung announced and traded a phone with a large screen (phablet). This step was despised by Apple. “You can’t hold it in your hand. No one will buy it, ”said Apple’s legendary CEO, Steve Jobs.
But in 2013, Apple realized that Steve Jobs was wrong. The company’s confidential documents showed that iPhone sales were slower than the market in the context of all other phones selling well.
Maybe, Galaxy Fold and Mate X were only incomplete testing products. But the future they bring cannot be underestimated. Slimmer, easy folding, higher battery capacity and cheap price. That is the challenge that Apple must face.
Samsung has created phones that are more aesthetically pleasing than the iPhone. Therefore, it is likely that they will repeat their success with the Galaxy Fold folding screen phones.
Previously, when Apple missed the big screen trend, it took Apple 4 years to catch up with Samsung. Currently iPhone sales are declining and there is no indication that the new iPhone model will appear. Therefore, experts wonder when Apple will catch up with Samsung on the front screen fold.
Apple have realised a new apple watch installed with the most up to date watchOS 5 and has a lot of features following from the previous apple watches. The design of the new watch is enhanced overall with a new modern design as well as additional health and fitness built in apps that aim to help monitor heart rate, track calories and much more.
The design of this new apple watch is different to previous watches that have had more or less the same design concept however the watch series 4 has been restyled and redesigned to enhance its entire look and provide a major change to customers that wanted to see something new design wise with this apple watch. Apple have delivered a well redesigned look that looks attractive and has upgraded the design but maintained its origin.
With this new apple watch Apple have decided to increase the screen size by not an enormous amount but enough to notice added width and length. The bezels that go around the edge has been reduced to effect the size of the screen as well as adding curvy corners to the screen.
This new series 4 watch comes in aluminium or stainless steel, both of which maintain the solidness and stability in previous watches but there is an apparent change in the quality, however Apple have decided not to offer this watch in all ceramic as an edition and are only available in the two material types.
In terms of colours the aluminium versions come in gold, space grey or silver and for the stainless steel you are able to select new gold or space black that are polished and look minimalistic but stylish. Even though the ceramic edition has been discontinued the aluminium material does include ceramic inside the undersides and allows for better signal and receptive wherever you go.
The speaker on the apple watch series 4 has been boosted to increase sound to 50% which in turn will be louder and enhanced when watching movies or playing music. A slight change in this area is that this watch now has the microphone in a different area aside from the speaker which allows for improved quality when making phone calls.
A useful feature with the watch series 4 is that it has a health built in app called Fall Detection which essentially will pick up when the user has fallen physically and will determine this by motions of the arm; if you are stationary for a specific time frame the apple watch will presume an emergency and ultimately contacts the closet emergency services via the SOS application.
Another health feature is heart monitoring which is not something new with apple watches but with this new series 4 watch there is changes to the app in that it picks up low heart rate as a concern for health and also heart rates that are irregular. Furthermore, the heart monitoring system will inform of possible atrial fibrillation which is something new to this watch than previous models.
One of the next best apple products is the IPad Pro 3 which is promising a major update from the previous versions and overall brining something special to the table that is different from the rest. The set date for release is going to either be October or if not then later in the year of 2018. The launch of the IPhone X was in the middle of September with no mention to the new IPad and any other IPad related products, which leaves many users guessing.
This new IPad is said to provide bezel screens that have been reduced into two sizes unlike previous models. Furthermore, some sources have stated that the camera will be of the likes of the newly released IPhone X, which has the True Depth technology camera interface, providing enhancing photo quality.
The IPad pro series are aiming towards acting as a laptop and Apple are designing the IPad in a way that showcases this and the many features internally and externally that the IPad has to offer. Even though there is a possibility of the IPads officially being used by many users a laptop, the origin of IPads is that they are tablets and for many that is what they are and how they will use them.
Some leaks have said that Apply is looking to remove the Lightning feature which is aside the USB-C and alternatively include a 18W adapter for power. Also the IPad may use the same Face ID lock system as the IPhone X and will allow users to unlock their devices more securely and much like the newest IPhones.
The cost of the IPad Pro 3 will defiantly be expensive but the cost has not yet been disclosed and this is yet to be evaluated. Previous IPads have been significantly pricy and start off quite high in price.
Apparently with the new design there will be no home button the IPad interface, whether this will cause issues users will have to see when the product is released and If this is actually going to be stripped off the IPad. The design size is to be 12.9 Inches which is a reasonable size for Apple IPads.
The IPad pre design example is said to have a metal back with four speaker grills along with a single camera lens. It appears that there are some amendments that could be made such as the Smart Connector being moved to the back of the IPad, plus there appears to be no headphone port and lastly an unknown button is visible on the device that is not yet discovered as to its function
Another leak is that the IPad pro 3 system is IOS 12 with a built in A11X Bionic chipset for increased performance and speedy system overall. There are many old features that would probably be included in the new IPad to maintain the status of Apple’s IPad but we are also expecting several changes that will improve the IPad series massively.
