Apple have realised a new apple watch installed with the most up to date watchOS 5 and has a lot of features following from the previous apple watches. The design of the new watch is enhanced overall with a new modern design as well as additional health and fitness built in apps that aim to help monitor heart rate, track calories and much more.
The design of this new apple watch is different to previous watches that have had more or less the same design concept however the watch series 4 has been restyled and redesigned to enhance its entire look and provide a major change to customers that wanted to see something new design wise with this apple watch. Apple have delivered a well redesigned look that looks attractive and has upgraded the design but maintained its origin.
Design
With this new apple watch Apple have decided to increase the screen size by not an enormous amount but enough to notice added width and length. The bezels that go around the edge has been reduced to effect the size of the screen as well as adding curvy corners to the screen.
This new series 4 watch comes in aluminium or stainless steel, both of which maintain the solidness and stability in previous watches but there is an apparent change in the quality, however Apple have decided not to offer this watch in all ceramic as an edition and are only available in the two material types.
In terms of colours the aluminium versions come in gold, space grey or silver and for the stainless steel you are able to select new gold or space black that are polished and look minimalistic but stylish. Even though the ceramic edition has been discontinued the aluminium material does include ceramic inside the undersides and allows for better signal and receptive wherever you go.
Features
The speaker on the apple watch series 4 has been boosted to increase sound to 50% which in turn will be louder and enhanced when watching movies or playing music. A slight change in this area is that this watch now has the microphone in a different area aside from the speaker which allows for improved quality when making phone calls.
A useful feature with the watch series 4 is that it has a health built in app called Fall Detection which essentially will pick up when the user has fallen physically and will determine this by motions of the arm; if you are stationary for a specific time frame the apple watch will presume an emergency and ultimately contacts the closet emergency services via the SOS application.
Another health feature is heart monitoring which is not something new with apple watches but with this new series 4 watch there is changes to the app in that it picks up low heart rate as a concern for health and also heart rates that are irregular. Furthermore, the heart monitoring system will inform of possible atrial fibrillation which is something new to this watch than previous models.
